Department of Computer Scienec & IT organizes an intra-department IT Competition "TALENT HUNT" every yar, in which more than 500 computer science students of UG and PG classes participate. The competition provides students a platform to dissect IT problems, assess their calibre and problem-solving ability. The events scheduled in this competition include Aptitude Test ( with MOCK Interview, Technical interview, HR interview and Group Discussion), IT Quiz, Software Development, Net Savvy, Paper Presentation, Logic Development Collage Making and Cultural Events.
Department of Computer Science organizes PLASMA , an inter-college festival every year. PLASMA 2009 was organized on February 07, 2009. 106 teams from 15 colleges participated in 7 events: IT Quiz, Software Development, Net Savvy, Paper Presentation, Logic Development Collage Making and Website Development. The function was presided over by Sardarni Balbir Kaur, President, Council Governing Council. Dr K.S. Kahlon, Prof. & Head, Dept of Computer Science & Engg., GNDU, Amritsar, inaugrated the function and S. Gurpreet Singh Khaira, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar gave away the prizes to the winners.
